BFF CHALLENGE- Black and White

Today I bring you a manicure that I am deeply in love with and another first over here at PishPosh and Polish! The next challenge in the BFF series was Black and white and I decided to try my hand at a 'Tribal' design. I have always been a little scared to do this because it requires really awesome free-handing skills however I found a secret weapon that has helped me, but more on that later.

So here it is:

 

This manicure uses two coats of W7 Black as my base colour. I love this polish it is the perfect jet black polish with great coverage and dries with a lovely glossy finish. Plus it is ultra cheap at about £2 a bottle.  Then I free-handed a tribal pattern using Essence's Nail Art Pen in Silvery White.

This pen is awesome. It looks just like a felt tip pen and is super easy to control and gives great thin lines for detail. The pen is filled with a water-based polish which means it was really thin and easy to work with yet it gives great coverage on the nail. The only thing I will say is that your design won't stay put in water without a topcoat. But this isn't bad because if you make a mistake it is easy to start again. 

 

 

I really love the fact it looks alot more complex than it really is.
